Disability Awareness & Confidence Training for Employment Service Providers

Sign up now for the upcoming Disability Awareness & Confidence Training (DACT) for Employment Service Professionals, hosted by the Ontario Disability Employment Network (ODEN) online.

Led by an ODEN Disability Employment Inclusion Specialist, this interactive training is facilitated in two half-day sessions. Connect with fellow professionals from across Ontario, share insights, and enhance your skills!  

Overview 

ODEN’s Disability Awareness & Confidence Training is tailored for Employment Service Professionals who are seeking to enhance their understanding and responsiveness to the diverse abilities, competencies, and needs of Ontario’s job seekers who have disabilities.

Learning Objectives: 

  • Learn key facts and statistics about disability employment in Ontario.  

  • Discuss common barriers to workplace inclusion, including employer myths and misconceptions, and explore strategies to overcome them using facts and data.  

  • Apply concepts of intersectionality and understand disability impacts to develop effective support strategies for job seekers and employers.  

  • Discover tools and resources that enhance your work with businesses and job seekers.  

  • Engage in interactive activities and discussions to reinforce learning and address questions. 

This online training is limited to ten (10) participants and is facilitated by a Disability Employment Inclusion Specialist from ODEN. Participants who self-register, will receive a Certificate of Completion and a Digital Reference Handout. 

Participants requiring accommodation are requested to complete the section in the registration form at least 7 days in advance of the start date. Every effort will be made to provide the requested accommodation. 

 

Non-Member – $200.00 

ODEN Member – $180.00
