WELCOME TO YOURNEW WILD APRICOTWEBSITE
REAL Xchange was created by Community Living Essex County in 2018 to bring agencies together to share information, tools, and resources to best support people in the communities they serve. The most impactful collaboration resulting from the REAL Xchange has been the creation of the Knowledge Translation and Transfer (KTT) hub – a formal partnership between Community Living Essex County, Partners for Planning, and the Ontario Disability Employment Network (ODEN), with support from Ontario's Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS).
In this session, you will learn about how this strong partnership was created and has been nurtured, through a process of trust and open communication, where each partner promotes and contributes to excellence in the development of content and resources for the KTT hub. In addition, you will learn about how the REAL Xchange is promoting mentorship as an opportunity to help break down barriers to knowledge exchange. Through professional mentorship, members can connect with experienced leaders in the sector to learn about best practices and success stories and access practical tools to accelerate positive change. Lastly, the facilitators will provide a high-level overview of the REAL Xchange and the Knowledge Translation and Transfer Hub, highlighting all the free resources for staff in the not-for-profit sector serving people who have a disability.
You will leave this session with a new understanding of resources available to you and your staff and will feel inspired to tackle collaboration and mentorship as powerful drivers for impact in the disability sector.
Closed captioning and ASL interpretation is provided for this event.
